How should I make an initial choice between the seven-axis and eight-axis robots?

Start with the 7-Axis Rail-Mounted Welding Robot for building steel and relatively open beam or column workpieces. Start with the 8-Axis Cantilever Welding Robot evaluation route for bridge steel, plate-unit diaphragms and other wide planar components within the documented boundary. These are initial directions rather than unconditional suitability decisions.

Which workpiece information should I submit?

Provide overall drawings, local sections, dimensions, datums and weld symbols. Add photos of normal fit-up, fixtures and difficult access areas. Include a three-dimensional model when available, identify its revision, and state the proposed loading condition and available cell space.

Can beams, columns and stiffener details enter an evaluation?

Beams, columns, roof beams, crane beams, stiffeners and related attachment welds are documented evaluation examples for the seven-axis direction. Submit the stiffener layout, local sections, weld marks, angles and joint clearance so spacing, height, torch posture and access can be reviewed together.

How do bridge steel and plate-unit workpieces enter an evaluation?

Bridge steel, plate-unit diaphragms and other wide planar components enter the eight-axis engineering route. Provide the coordinate system, joint layout, weld positions and access details. Plate girders can be submitted as a drawing-led inquiry category, while work envelope and external-axis requirements remain part of project review.

Model-Driven, No-Model and Node-Based routes have different preparation requirements and limits.

Is a 3D model always required?

The answer depends on the selected workflow and workpiece. A Model-Driven path requires a usable model and agreement between the model and physical workpiece. The documented No-Model path has a narrower geometry boundary. Drawings, weld definitions and representative fit-up information remain necessary.

What is the difference between No-Model and Node-Based workflows?

The No-Model path uses a documented reverse-modeling route for flat web-and-stiffener workpieces under defined conditions. The Node-Based path depends on nodes prepared in advance for the recurring condition. New details may require separate development and human judgment.

Does teachless operation remove engineering preparation?

No. In this context, teachless can reduce conventional point-by-point teaching through a defined engineering workflow. It does not remove geometry, weld information, setup, access review or human approval.

Unknown or conflicting details remain part of engineering and commercial review.

Can the work range, external axes or standard configuration be confirmed online?

No universal value or package should be selected from conflicting or incomplete records. Work range, axis definition, cell layout and supplied components are confirmed for the actual project after reviewing the workpiece envelope, loading arrangement and site layout.

How are material, weld and process requirements confirmed?

Submit material grade, thickness range, joint preparation, weld size, position, pass requirements and the applicable acceptance basis. Engineering review checks whether the requested scope belongs in the proposed configuration. No material, process or gas combination should be assumed from a general description.

What can photographs and videos prove?

A reviewed image can support visible equipment, workpiece and factory context. A video can show visible motion and operating sequence. Neither alone confirms hidden component models, software scope, performance, quality or suitability for another part. Honglu domestic production-base scenes are not overseas customer installations.

How do I request a quotation?

Use the project RFQ and submit representative drawings, weld data and production context. Select a product direction or ask Honglu to compare the routes. A project-based quotation can be prepared after the technical scope and commercial assumptions are sufficiently defined.

How are installation, training, remote support, spare parts and warranty determined?

Scope, responsibilities, method, timing and cost are defined for the specific project and quotation. Site readiness, customer responsibilities, required personnel and the proposed support route should be reviewed. Applicable terms belong in the reviewed commercial documents.

How can I contact Honglu or submit a technical RFQ?
